Before & After: 'X' is for '"X" marks the spot!'

Hello!

I'm catching up, oh yes I am, slowly but surely! Today I have the next letter in my alphabet challenge, and that letter is X! I've always love mysteries and treasure hunts, anything like that, so I had to do 'X marks the spot'--on a fun little treasure map. So today's manicure is a little bit whimsical, a little bit silly, and a little bit fun. :)

I started with a base of Barielle Aura Angora, a light butterscotchy creme:

Then I created a little mini treasure map with my Migi nail art pens; I drew little mountain ranges and lakes like you'd see on an old penny-novel treasure map. I stamped a pirate's flag on one and and a treasure chest on the ring finger using Cheeky plate CH49 and Konad black (I double-stamped the treasure chest over silver). Then, of course, I drew a huge black X to mark the spot of the treasure:

It's not the most intricate or beautiful manicure, but I kind of love it. It makes me want to grab a cheesy paperback about a romantic search for buried treasure, and curl up with it and a cup of tea. :)
