It's no secret that I love indie polishes, and one of my favorite indie polish brands is InDecisive Nail Lacquer. I've been very impressed with the large range of polish types that her store contains, and the extremely high quality of her polishes. When I reviewed her polishes, I was impressed by every single one.
You can imagine my excitement when Aleksandra, owner of InDecisive Nail Lacquer, contacted me about not just the possibility of reviewing the new additions to her collection, but also about collaborating on a special limited edition polish. When I say limited, I mean limited--she has made only the equivalent of 8 full-sized bottles of polish (to be poured as full-size or minis depending on what's ordered). She has donated one of the full-sized bottles as a prize for followers of this blog! Of course I couldn't say yes fast enough. :)
We talked a bit about what we'd like the polish to be, and I gave a few suggestions here and there, but as my experience with polish-making begins and ends with the 4 very simple frankens I've made, I can't really claim to have played a significant part in the creative process, lol. But, I did get to ooo and aaaahhh a lot, and I got to name the polish. I present to you End Of The Universe, a stunning deep inky royal blue jelly polish with circle and hex blue and teal glitters, and a silver sparkle that shines out in the light:
InDecisive Nail Lacquer End Of The Universe in the bottle |
InDecisive Nail Lacquer End Of The Universe, indirect light |
InDecisive Lacquer End Of The Universe, direct sun |
This polish makes me think of some far off, murky corner of the universe, filled with peaceful stars and planets. And, being a Hitchhiker's Guide fan, I had to name it End Of The Universe.
This polish is richly dark, and has complete coverage in two coats (I have two coats plus topcoat in these pictures). The jelly allows tremendous depth--even with only two coats, it feels like you're looking through layers of glitters that go on for ages. The glitters wink out from different depths, and in direct sunlight there is a beautiful sparkle to the polish that will take your breath away. I couldn't stop looking at it when I had it on--it's an inky abyss of awesome.
As I mentioned, there are the equivalent of 8 full-sized bottles of polish (to be poured as full-size or minis depending on what's ordered) and that's all there will ever be. Aleksandra is keeping one full-sized bottle for herself, I have one bottle, and one full-sized bottle will be given away to one winner in the Rafflecopter drawing below. So, have at the widget for your chance to win, and if you don't want to risk not winning the prize, run over to her shop right now and grab the rest of the limited edition before they're all gone!
I'm also including in the prize a small grab bag of a few polishes I was thinking of putting up in a blog sale; I decided it would be more fun to make a mystery bag out of them to include with this polish as a little bonus than to sell them. :)
a Rafflecopter giveaway
The giveaway ends at midnight on 10 June 2013 (see terms and conditions for details). Also, over the next few days, I will be reviewing the new additions to the InDecisive Nail Lacquer line, along with a couple of her classics. Her polishes are beautiful, so watch this space. :)
(UPDATE: I misunderstood the exact breakdown of bottles in my tally of them before--I've corrected the amounts now and they are accurate! I apologize for the error!)
Thanks so much for reading and joining in on the giveaway! And thanks so much to Aleksandra for donating a polish for my readers!!!
Hugs, peace, and much love. :)
M.
