Hnnnnnngh! I worship this color! It's Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, and not only did I nab this Nicole by OPI at an uber-discount, I instantly knew what I wanted to do with it. I gave striping tape another try (last time it failed almost immediately) and I'm so glad I did! Enjoy!

Belieb Me, I'm Plum Tuckered Out!
This was a struggle getting this post together before the night's end. I'm sorry it's nothing exciting. I hardly have anything to say about it.
One thing I will say is that the brushes on CND polishes are awesome! I didn't realize how much I liked them until I looked at my hands after applying Plum Truffle and saw that EUREKA! There was hardly any polish on my actual fingers to clean up! Almost all of it wound up on the nails where it was supposed to. You can try to chalk that up to practice and a steady hand, but the brush was a much bigger factor than I thought it ever would be.
A good brush and a sick formula? CND's pushing its way into my heart. Or at least the part of my heart that supports nail polish. I would say there's a part of my brain that does too, but that's probably been dissolved with the polish fumes by now.
Oh, by the way, the silver glitter on top is a Bieber polish, Make U Smile (Nicole by OPI). (Why the "U" Beibes? Why not just use the other two letters in the word?)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This year's St. Patrick's Day is one of the first I'll be able to celebrate properly since it's on a weekend and I have no other responsibilities looming at the moment. My good friend Bree (who let me do her nails a few months ago when I was first starting out) also wanted to take advantage of this and asked me to do her nails. Of course I said yes! Her ideas were amazing too, and this is the result.
Obviously this took a mother load of polishes to create. I used Starboard (China Glaze) as the gorgeous Kelly green base. We thought about topping it with some Kleancolor chunky holos, but it was too stunning on its own. Her ring finger's base is Glitter in my Stocking (Nicole by OPI). That's also the gold in the pot of gold. The pot (done with Time Off by Sinful Colors) is only on one of her thumbs, and the other thumb is a continuation of the rainbow. The colors used for the rainbow include Be My Valentine (Sinful Colors), Papaya Punch and Happy Go Lucky (China Glaze), Lickety-Split Lime and Brisk Blue (Sally Hansen Insta-Dri), and I'm a Belieber (Nicole by OPI). This was my first try at my new MASH brushes, and I absolutely love the little one that comes in the set. I'm sure it'll wear out fast. I have big plans for that little guy.
Her ring finger was done freehand, using Artsy Crafty (Color Club) and Limelight (Ulta). She was absolutely tickled by the time I finished (even though it took quite some time), and we celebrated at The Sink and a Hookah bar I've never been to. She said she even got a compliment on her nails going into the bathroom.

Fiery Fingers
Mmm glitter. After the massive photoset of glitz, how could I not use one? Nicole by OPI's Orna-Ment For Each Other was pretty high up on my list of need to trys, so I gave it what it deserved. Something sexy, sultry, and fiery. (Isn't it weird that fiery isn't spelled "firey"?) Time Off by Sinful Colors provided the perfect solution. Time Off is one of their small nail art brushes that I LOVE.
I've used the white, black and gold glitter versions of the brush and they're all marvelous. I do have two neon colors (pink and yellow), and they...well...they suck. The color isn't pigmented enough for striping, so it's pointless to use them. You'd have to use about 4 coats to get close to 100% opacity, but who wants to go over a tiny line 4 times? I highly recommend the black and white though. Their brushes rock.
I just free-handed the "flames" over the hot red glitter, and I'm pretty happy with it.
Feelin' hot now?

Glutton for Glitter
Recently, as in within the past month, I've found myself buying a lot of glitter polishes. A lot. So I thought I'd show off my most recent purchases. Don't be alarmed...and consider wearing sunglasses for the massive amounts of glitter you're about to see. There are so many, my poor light tent couldn't hold them all without showing the white sides for light. Luckily, Photoshop helped me clean that up for your viewing pleasure.
I warned you.
I love them all! I realize now looking at the photos that not all of these count as glitters, but more metallics, but they still bring joy and sparkle to my life, so they can stay.
Most of these colors were bought online at Head2ToeBeauty.com. The Gold set was purchased from My Nail Graffiti's Amber and Dustin, and the others were bought in stores at Target, Rite Aid or Walgreens. My lovely sister sent me the Nicole by OPIs. I couldn't find them out here in Colorado, but her Southern California Targets were much more well stocked.
